Seminole Group - Tin

Tin is Classified as the "Other Metal"

Tin is a silvery-white metal that is malleable at room temperature and brittle when cooled. It can also be highly polished. The chemical composition of tin has a highly crystalline structure and a "tin cry" can be heard when bending the metal due to the crystals breaking.

Tin is classified as an "Other Metal", which are solid, have a relatively high density and are opaque. It can be used to coat other metals to prevent corrosion. It is resistant to distilled, sea, and soft tap water, but is attacked by strong acids, alkalis and acid salts. Tin is one of the most tonally resonant of all the metals and is used as a component in bell metals. Tin is used when compounded with niobium to create wires for superconductivity magnets.
